About Me

Sok Sobi. I enjoy taking pictures of people and places, particular interest in Landscape, People and Travel photography. Pictures and stories that bring Social Awareness and the potential for long term social change or policy are important to me. I use Canon Digital Cameras (EOS 2,4 plus ,Fuji X Pro 1,2 XT2,3 Xe1,2) with a selection of Canon lenses, the 24-105 IS f4L being my favourite at present. I use Lightroom & Photoshop Elements to edit my work. Canon equipment and lenses give me just what I need, reliability and high IQ. I am now living and working in Cambodia, South East Asia, using Phnom Penh as a base to explore the region. I publish stories that are important to me on my blog but always try to give a balanced picture.

Weather

Well the weather here in UK is worse than I remember it. Constantly raining but we still have a hose pipe ban and the reservoirs are empty. Went for a walk up to the Bird Santuary yesterday and the lakes were almost empty. The rain has certainly stimulated the wild-flowers and they are in abundance.

The days just seem to get wetter and wetter and despite this  water is in short supply, begs the question, why ??

The forecast is for yet more rain, showers, thunder and lightning. Global warming seems to have arrived. Still I suppose we have to make the best of the sun that does break through, which is what I am trying to do, but anticipation of this currently rare event is increasingly difficult.

In the UK

Hi I am currently visiting the UK as my Daughter has just had a little (10lb 5oz) baby boy so I thought I had better come and show my face. All is good here but the weather is even worse than I recall.

Spending some time with family and taking a respite, will be busy when I get back to Phnom Penh on some new projects I have in mind...

Srey and Ricky are seen here on a visit to a Castle at Beeston, between rain showers, we certainly enjoyed the day but the weather beat us in the end.
